📋 Description

• Drive end-to-end performance characterization and optimization of Ethernet processing solutions across hardware, firmware, software, and system-level architectures • Work with architects, hardware designers, firmware developers, driver teams, and performance architects to identify performance bottlenecks • Develop optimization strategies and deliver high-performance Ethernet solutions for data center and edge networking applications • Define and execute performance validation strategies for Ethernet hardware and software subsystems • Characterize throughput, packet processing rate (PPS), latency and jitter, buffer utilization, and CPU and memory efficiency • Analyze packet processing pipelines and identify performance bottlenecks in hardware, drivers, and software stacks • Develop methodologies to optimize Ethernet datapath performance across varying traffic patterns and workloads • Evaluate performance of Ethernet MAC, PHY, switch, NIC, and packet processing hardware • Analyze bus utilization, DMA performance, memory bandwidth, cache efficiency, and hardware acceleration engines • Perform performance characterization of pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors or masters in computer science or electronics • At least 2+ years of industry or research experience • Expertise in Ethernet networking, packet processing, performance benchmarking, and root-cause analysis • Experience analyzing throughput, packet processing rate (PPS), latency and jitter, buffer utilization, and CPU and memory efficiency • Experience analyzing packet processing pipelines and identifying bottlenecks in hardware, drivers, and software stacks • Knowledge of Ethernet MAC, PHY, switch, NIC, and packet processing hardware • Experience analyzing bus utilization, DMA performance, memory bandwidth, cache efficiency, and hardware acceleration engines • Experience with pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms
