📋 Description

• Support Onterris work with Tribal Nations to foster meaningful collaboration with Tribal communities. • Champion internal cultural proficiency and establish respectful partnerships. • Support the development and management of environmental projects focusing on sustainability and conservation. • Coordinate project tasks and assist with maintaining project workflow. • Utilize database software to administer information by updating project status. • Manage electronic project documents. • Manage Tribal environmental projects and assist in data gathering. • Write/review sections for CEQA/NEPA documents and assist with preparing permit applications. • Maintain budget tracking, schedule tracking, and other project management duties. • Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations.

🎯 Requirements

• College/University degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, Law or a related field. • 5-10 years of experience as a consultant with a specific emphasis on federal and Tribal regulatory experience. • Experience with project management and technical responsibility, including leadership of others and management level accountability. • NEPA experience managing EAs and/or EISs and working with Tribal Nations for Fee-to-Trust applications and projects. • Strong client facing skills (relationship building, communication, problem solving). • Direct experience and knowledge of environmental regulations, assisting in research for NEPA and CEQA planning documents, and preparing or assisting in the preparation of technical sections for NEPA documents and environmental permits (CWA 404/401). • Direct experience and knowledge of consultation under NHPA 106 and ESA Section 7. • Demonstrated experience working with Tribal Nations and addressing complex issues across multiple agencies, business lines, client types and geographies. • Proven ability to develop positive relationships with Tribal Nations, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and other entities. • Ability to work collaboratively across offices and regions. • Strong research, analysis, and reporting abilities. • Focus on detail-orientation skills and capable of managing large data sets. • Self-starting, team-oriented professionals with excellent written and communication skills. • Familiar with review and analysis of scientific data, maps, and drawings. • Knowledge of computer-aided software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.) • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors.
