📋 Description

• Prepare recurring monthly journals, including bank fees, currency transfers, net salaries, tax payments, refunds, and VAT/tax journals • Reconcile bank accounts, Fixed Asset Management, and Balance Sheet accounts • Manage accruals, including interest and Corporate Income Tax accruals • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations and payment files • Review VAT codes and approve standalone bills • Perform AP and AR reconciliations and VAT verifications • Process payment reminders for outstanding accounts • Provide holiday coverage as AR application back-up for approximately five weeks per year • Oversee daily bank statements and outgoing payments • Handle manual payments, including loans, interest, and intercompany transfers • Execute corporate tax, VAT, and employer payments • Own VAT data management, calculations, postings, returns, and EU Sales declarations • Process correspondence and decisions from local Tax Authorities • Gather data and submit finalized local statutory reports • Complete year-end closing and prepare FINGAAP financial statements • Manage year-end tasks and general financial consulting • Approve and process employee travel and expense claims • Review travel claims and employee payslips • Report taxable expense claims and process non-taxable allowances • Ensure timely data transfers for payroll and expense records to the core accounting system

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of general accounting experience • ACA or ACCA qualified • Experience building globally-distributed systems • Strong understanding of accounting best practices • Expertise in VAT and tax • Comfortable learning and working with new technologies in an ever-changing environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong time management skills and a self-driven work ethic
