📋 Description

• Provide senior technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, systems, and business domains • Drive architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software systems • Lead complex cross-functional technical initiatives from discovery and design through delivery and production operation • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Customer Experience, and business stakeholders • Design and guide backend services, APIs, integrations, platform capabilities, and distributed systems • Improve reliability, scalability, performance, observability, maintainability, cost efficiency, and developer productivity • Influence technical strategy, roadmap planning, architecture standards, and prioritization • Establish engineering practices across code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, documentation, security, and operational excellence • Mentor Staff Engineers, senior engineers, and technical leads • Guide trade-offs across speed, quality, scalability, reliability, security, cost, and maintainability • Lead or support modernization of legacy and modern systems, platforms, and integrations • Contribute to systems supporting customer communications, telephony, contact center workflows, servicing platforms, and enterprise integrations • Participate in production support, incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements • Identify practical uses for AI-assisted engineering tools and automation

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience • Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems • Proven technical leadership across multiple teams or complex technical domains • Strong experience with backend services, APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud-based architectures • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar • Strong knowledge of system design, software architecture, scalability, reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, and production operations • Ability to influence technical direction and drive alignment without relying on direct authority • Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience mentoring senior engineers and improving technical execution • Strong ownership mindset and experience driving ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives to completion • Nice-to-have experience with telephony, contact center platforms, IVR, call routing, voice systems, customer communications, or customer engagement technologies • Nice-to-have experience with Twilio, Amazon Connect, Genesys, Five9, NICE, Cisco, Avaya, or similar technologies • Nice-to-have experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms, vendor APIs, or enterprise systems • Nice-to-have experience in fintech, financial services, lending, risk, servicing, collections, customer support, or regulated environments • Nice-to-have experience modernizing legacy systems and improving business-critical platform reliability • Nice-to-have experience evaluating emerging technologies and applying them pragmatically • Nice-to-have experience using AI-enabled engineering tools, copilots, automation platforms, or intelligent productivity solutions • Nice-to-have judgment around responsible use of AI-assisted solutions in enterprise environments
