📋 Description

• Source food ingredients, raw materials, and specialty components for product development and commercial production • Research and identify ingredient manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers worldwide • Obtain pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, ingredient specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and technical documentation • Source dairy ingredients, sweeteners, starches, gums, flavorings, fruit preparations, and other functional food ingredients • Coordinate ingredient sample requests for R&D and product testing • Compare suppliers based on quality, certifications, pricing, and availability • Assist with ingredient substitutions and alternative sourcing solutions • Maintain supplier databases and sourcing records • Support procurement of packaging materials and related product components • Build and maintain relationships with ingredient manufacturers, distributors, and brokers • Monitor ingredient availability, market trends, and pricing

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably within the food industry • Experience sourcing food ingredients, raw materials, or specialty food components • Strong online research and supplier sourcing skills • Excellent negotiation and vendor communication abilities • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets • Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (CEFR C1 or equivalent) • Preferred: experience in food ingredient sourcing or procurement • Preferred: background in food manufacturing, food science, dairy, bakery, confectionery, or beverage industries • Preferred: experience working with suppliers such as Ingredion, Tate & Lyle, Cargill, ADM, IFF, Kerry, or similar ingredient manufacturers • Preferred: understanding of food ingredient specifications, technical data sheets, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) • Preferred: familiarity with FDA-regulated food products and food safety documentation
