📋 Description

• Define and evolve AI platform strategy aligned with Parexel's enterprise AI direction • Own architectural decisions for AI-first platforms • Ensure reliability, performance, and observability for production AI workloads • Establish service-level expectations and consumption models for internal squads and sponsor-funded pods • Manage operational relationships with AI-specific vendors, including performance, contracts, and escalations • Lead incident response and continuous improvement for AI platform issues • Partner with centralized support organizations on service management • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Compliance to support product delivery and audit readiness • Lead a small platform engineering team • Recruit and develop senior individual contributors and engineering talent • Foster a working-leader culture

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field • 10+ years in platform engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML infrastructure roles • Direct experience operating AI platforms in production • Experience with GenAI runtimes, vector databases, agent orchestration, MLOps tooling, and evaluation infrastructure • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure • Deep technical expertise in cloud-based platform engineering • Ability to make architectural trade-offs with a service-oriented mindset • Vendor management experience, including contract terms, performance management, and commercial negotiation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Comfort working in a regulated environment • Familiarity with life sciences or another GxP-adjacent industry • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills • Preferred: Master's degree in a technical discipline • Preferred: Familiarity with Palantir Foundry, enterprise GenAI platforms, Copilot Studio, or Anthropic-based platforms • Preferred: Experience navigating shared infrastructure organizations
