Partnership for Public Service is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to strengthening the effectiveness of the U. S. federal government and protecting the career civil service. It conducts research and advocacy, administers workforce surveys and performance dashboards, runs leadership training and coaching programs, manages awards and rankings (e. g. , Service to America Medals®, Best Places to Work), and provides transition and recruitment resources to improve public-sector capacity and rebuild trust in government.

📋 Description

• Provide input into revenue targets and strategies to support the Partnership, primarily for programs and initiatives in California. • Use various donor research and relationship building methods to Identify and cultivate a portfolio of prospects for the Partnership’s CA-based and national programming. • Work with other Development team members to steward CA-based donors and design and execute cultivation events to raise the Partnership’s profile in the region. • Draft concept papers, grant proposals and grant reports, as required. • Maintain contact and prospect information in Salesforce and ensure meeting notes and other information are appropriately captured in the system. • Work directly with other members of the Development team and adhere to standard procedures to ensure strong communication, collaboration and recordkeeping. • Seek out training opportunities that support professional growth and align with an annual performance management plan.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum seven years of fundraising or relevant work experience, with progressive responsibility • Demonstrated track record of successfully securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals and significant foundation grants • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent professional work or military experience • Familiarity with and commitment to using donor relationship management systems; knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
