📋 Description

• Prepare Australian individual and business tax returns from start to finish, including income/expense analysis, rental schedules, CGT, and sole trader schedules. • Prepare BAS/IAS, financial statements, and income tax returns for sole traders, companies, and trusts using Xero. • Use ATO Online Services for Agents to download reports and support tax compliance activities. • Maintain bookkeeping records, fixed asset registers, payroll, and related compliance tasks. • Assist with ABN, TFN, GST registrations and ASIC annual reviews and company changes. • Set up and maintain client records in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and related systems. • Assist with company, trust, and super fund establishment paperwork. • Maintain procedures and identify opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiency. • Handle client queries, ad-hoc tax/accounting projects, and other duties as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of Australian public practice tax experience — ESSENTIAL / NON-NEGOTIABLE. • Strong experience in Australian Business Services & Tax. • Able to handle accounting and tax work independently with minimal supervision. • Experience with Xero, Xero Tax, Hubdoc, XPM, and QuickBooks/MYOB; SuiteFiles preferred. • Confident using ATO portals and Australian tax systems. • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability. • Good written and spoken English communication skills. • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
