📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day accounting support and occasional input across wider business units. • Process all property transactions from Xero bank account dashboards. • Lead and support future system implementations, including input and testing for a new Property Management System. • Create and maintain monthly General Ledger reconciliations. • Create and maintain Fixed Asset Registers for each business unit. • Oversee communications with Division vendors and assist with supplier account reconciliations. • Prepare monthly financial statements and arrange, attend, and facilitate regular monthly Board meetings with owners. • Explain and provide understanding of key events occurring during the reporting period. • Prepare and maintain daily cashflow forecasts for the Division’s bank accounts. • Undertake fact checks and resolve discrepancies. • Assist with tax compliance from time to time. • Process data, create transactions in Xero, prepare forecasts, daily cashflows, liaise with Insurance Brokers and the external refinancing team, work on projects, and prepare consolidated monthly financial statements.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree qualified with 3-5 years experience in a related field. • Commercial accounting background. • Previous experience working within a project team and know what is required to lead the day-to-day work. • Be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills and have an ‘eye for detail’ to spot anomalies. This may require you to undertake deep dives to get to the route of the problem and then be able to provide a workable solution. • Good keyboard skills. • Proficiency with computer packages and cloud based bookkeeping software. Also have an understanding of what AI applications can bring to processes and how various social media’s and Apps can impact the working environment. • Good time management and verbal and written communication skills. • Good general ledger and supplier statement reconciliation skills. • Professional manner and a strong ethical code. • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive. At times you will have several ‘balls’ in the air at one time and you will need to be able to ensure that appropriate coverage/attention is being applied to each task. • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
