📋 Description

• Lead, manage, support, and develop the national BU Medical Affairs Scientist team in the lung therapeutic area • Jointly develop team objectives with the BU Medical Director • Develop the Medical Plan and oversee local implementation • Recruit, manage, coach, and continuously develop team members • Prioritize team activities, resources, and budgets based on local needs, medical priorities, and performance metrics • Integrate the team into local, regional, and global Pfizer networks • Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with HCPs, KOLs, patient organizations, professional societies, payers, regulators, HealthTech companies, digital health agencies, and AI regulatory authorities • Engage in scientific exchange with HCPs and critically evaluate and contextualize scientific and AI-generated evidence • Generate, document, synthesize, and share medical insights • Support pipeline development, including protocol feasibility, site identification, and ISR/IIR projects • Lead local RWE generation, including AI-supported study design and EHR-based feasibility analysis • Collaborate with Commercial, Access & Value, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance while maintaining non-promotional boundaries • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and Pfizer internal requirements, as well as Responsible AI and data governance standards

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in human medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, or an advanced degree (e.g., MSc) in the natural sciences, with subject-matter expertise in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (AMG); MD, DVM, DPharm, or PhD preferred • Relevant experience in the lung cancer therapeutic area (thoracic oncology) • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or an equivalent environment • Demonstrated scientific and technical expertise, including scientific methodology, clinical trials, and medical knowledge • Strong project management and organizational skills • Experience with digital communication tools and networks • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills • Team leadership experience preferred • Fluent German (C1 or higher) • Very good English skills • Category B driver's license • Product, market, and competitor knowledge in the relevant therapeutic area preferred
