• Define and lead institutional business development strategy aligned with long-term growth objectives • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with banks, credit unions, fintechs and financial institutions • Drive high-impact negotiations and structure complex partnership agreements balancing strategic value, regulatory compliance, and commercial outcomes • Provide market and competitive insights to influence product direction, partner engagement models, and organizational strategy • Represent Plooto at industry forums, regulatory discussions, and executive roundtables to strengthen market presence and credibility • Oversee governance and performance management of key institutional partnerships to ensure accountability and sustainable growth • Champion cross-functional alignment and guide product, finance, compliance, and operations teams to deliver scalable partner solutions • Build a prioritized pipeline of 30–40 target institutions and establish 5–7 senior-level relationships within 60 days • Advance multiple high-value partnership discussions with 2–3 late-stage opportunities targeting $200M+ potential TPV impact within 120 days • Deliver partnership-driven product insights, define evaluation framework, and close 3–5 institutional partnerships contributing to subscriber growth and $500M+ TPV within 12 months • Establish scalable partnership function with quarterly governance, standardized reporting, and plan to hire 1–2 FTEs
• 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development, or strategic partnerships within financial services, banking, or fintech • Proven track record of building and managing executive-level relationships with banks, credit unions, or other financial institutions • Strong expertise in partnership structuring, complex negotiations, and contract management in regulated environments • Deep understanding of banking operations, payments, compliance, and risk management frameworks • Demonstrated ability to translate market trends and insights into actionable strategies that drive institutional growth • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the board and C-suite level • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across product, finance, compliance, and operations teams • Experience working in or alongside high-growth fintechs or technology-driven financial institutions (nice-to-have) • Familiarity with open banking, embedded finance, and emerging digital banking models (nice-to-have) • Established network within the banking and financial services sector (nice-to-have) • International business development or cross-border partnership experience (nice-to-have) • MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, or a related field (nice-to-have)
