📋 Description

• Interpret, solution design, and correctly implement business requirements • Provide work estimates to assist project planning • Design low-maintenance, sustainable, and scalable software solutions • Reduce technical debt where appropriate • Liaise with peer system owners to understand, document, and mitigate upstream and downstream impacts • Build solutions using established industry best practices, technologies, and standards • Support business users through User Acceptance Testing • Deploy solutions with care and contingency planning • Support and plan Release Management, Runbooks, and Hypercare • Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test, and Digital Operations colleagues • Document technical designs, constraints, and code bases for knowledge repositories, cross-training, and impact assessments • Ensure compliance with organisational, legal, regulatory, departmental, SOX, and security standards

🎯 Requirements

• A degree in Software Engineering, computing, or related subject • 5+ years professional experience working in a Software Engineer/Developer role • Knowledge of the full SDLC • Experience working in an Agile development environment is desirable • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous improvement • Ability to take initiative and work independently while maintaining strong team relations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and geographically distributed stakeholders • Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks, such as SOX • Good understanding of SDLC and software delivery frameworks • Excellent knowledge of .NET Core / C#, PL/SQL, and JavaScript / TypeScript • React knowledge is desirable • Experience using Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle; PL/SQL experience essential • Experience building responsive websites and UI design • Experience writing .NET Web Services and consuming Web APIs • Experience writing back-end C# unit tests • Good understanding of Git and Azure DevOps • Understanding or experience of AI development practices such as GitHub Copilot • Excellent time and work management skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Comfortable presenting solutions and status updates to senior business audiences • Ability to balance technical considerations with business priorities • Strong planning, prioritisation, organisation, and attention to detail • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Collaborative team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
