📋 Description

• Lead the complete month-end close across multiple operating entities • Produce comprehensive Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements • Drive process improvements to accelerate the monthly close to working day 5 • Analyze complex data and deliver plain-language variance commentary to operational heads and senior leadership • Build, maintain, and refine rolling cash flow models and group budgets • Track actual performance against business plans and highlight risks early • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations • Embed accrual accounting discipline across business units • Support statutory compliance schedules • Enhance financial models and reporting packs through spreadsheet automation, financial systems, and AI tools • Provide hands-on guidance, training, and development to two UK-based Accounts Assistants and an incoming Credit Controller • Provide operational cover when required

🎯 Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant: CIMA, ACCA, CA(SA) / ACA • Minimum 3–5+ years in FP&A, management accounting, or senior financial analysis • Demonstrated ownership of multi-entity reporting and variance analysis • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets and building complex models • Hands-on proficiency in Xero • Experience with Syft Analytics or BI reporting tools is advantageous • Exceptional communication and presentation skills • Confidence presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and partnering with division heads • High autonomy and ownership; self-starter able to work independently across multiple systems • Prior experience in property, lettings, or asset management is advantageous • Dedicated home office equipped with high-speed fibre internet and reliable backup power solutions (UPS / inverter) • Must operate from South Africa on a full-time, permanent basis
