📋 Description

• Independently manage and resolve complex end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions • Provide guidance on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, redundancy processes, and other HR matters • Lead client and external employee meetings, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation negotiations, settlements, and termination outcomes • Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations involving multiple stakeholders • Liaise with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant offboarding and audits • Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents while maintaining accurate, confidential employee records • Process offboarding in Remote's internal HRIS platform in collaboration with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams • Provide informal escalation support, expertise, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members • Provide first-level Employee Relations support and guide clients through complex workplace scenarios • Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, applicable regulations, and potential paths forward • Advise internal and external stakeholders on employee relations matters, progressive discipline, documentation, and difficult situations • Track and monitor employee relations cases and coordinate timely follow-up • Resolve queries on offboarding and first-level employee relations matters as a subject-matter expert • Identify and drive process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience improvements • Determine methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments and adapt complex techniques to achieve results • Report to the Manager Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle • Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law considered a plus • Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions • Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments and analyze complex HR issues • Ability to independently research issues, develop practical solutions, and translate findings into usable team resources • Ability to communicate recommendations effectively to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar environments • Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills • Ability to independently lead difficult conversations toward positive outcomes while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality • Business-level advanced proficiency in written and spoken English • Aptitude for process innovation, optimization, automation, and best-practice implementation • Strong operational efficiency, thorough record-keeping, and data-integrity awareness • Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems • Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed • Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to inspire others • Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
