📋 Description
• Develops a knowledge and understanding of basic electronics, general anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy and physiology, clinical neurophysiology, and neurophysiological diagnostic procedures and protocols • Performs Electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings under direct or indirect supervision on adult and pediatric patients • Acts as a liaison between the electroencephalographer, physicians and senior technologists to coordinate, perform or provide technical assistance during complex procedures • Maintains and calibrates all laboratory medical devices • Prepares patient appointment scheduling, history, encounter, and billing forms as necessary • Participates in weekly and annual conferences and technical meetings
🎯 Requirements
• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of clinical experience and education required • Relevant training/education required to meet eligibility for EEG registration • Requirement to obtain EEG registration within 8 years • Critical thinking skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision
