📋 Description

• Supervise the daily work of a team of medical coders. • Monitor productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time. • Conduct routine quality audits and provide feedback to coders. • Coach and develop team members; provide regular performance reviews. • Serve as a subject matter expert on coding questions and complex cases. • Lead team huddles, training sessions, and educational updates. • Partner with the manager on staffing, scheduling, and special projects. • Resolve escalated coding-related denials and provider queries. • Ensure team compliance with all coding and regulatory standards. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of medical coding experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. • Active certification required: CPC, CCS, COC, or CCS-P (AAPC or AHIMA). • Demonstrated coaching skills. • Proficiency with EHR/coding platforms. • Bachelor's degree preferred. • Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA and regulatory compliance requirements.
