• Lead internal and supplier containment actions with Operations and Quality • Facilitate supplier kick-off meetings and establish rapid response actions • Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RRCA) investigations for critical quality or delivery issues • Develop and implement supplier improvement plans and conduct plan review checkpoints • Monitor leading and lagging KPIs and evaluate containment exit criteria • Escalate persistent issues to crisis mode or tiger teams when warranted • Partner with Commodity Teams and SBUs for closed-loop feedback and sustainable operations • Identify supplier sites and prioritize development based on risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs • Conduct supplier assessments using the OCRA tool • Engage suppliers through development roadmaps, training, and targeted maturity-model actions • Align supplier readiness with Commodity Managers and Engineering for new programs and volume ramp-ups • Facilitate structured improvement plans, KPI tracking, and gate reviews • Monitor maturity targets and initiate sustainment planning • Support long-term monitoring and supplier re-engagement cycles • Develop manufacturing process technology tools and standardization, including FMEA and Control Plans • Lead or support supplier transitions with minimal disruption • Monitor supplier maturity post-transition and ensure long-term capability • Reinforce performance expectations and continuous improvement with internal business units and suppliers • Execute APQP for new product launches and work transition projects • Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Quality Assurance & Engineering, Operations and Planning, SBUs, supplier site leadership, and crisis response/tiger teams
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience • Advanced proficiency in English • Casting and/or forging manufacturing experience preferred • High energy level and experience working with cross-functional personnel preferred • High communication skills and ability to develop a network of relationships with Collins Aerospace business units preferred • Strong work orientation and organization preferred • Ability to apply CORE principles/tools to manage processes and support continuous improvement preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access) preferred • Knowledge and understanding of castings and/or forging products and their manufacturing • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed, minimum 50% of time
