📋 Description

• Develop and evolve allocation/optimization algorithms for distributing products between distribution centers and stores • Maintain and enhance inventory simulators to test scenarios and replenishment policies (backtesting and what‑if analysis) • Take prototyped solutions in notebooks to production, building large‑scale data pipelines • Analyze and communicate business KPIs (service level, stockouts, turnover, fill rate) to business stakeholders • Collaborate with data engineering teams on operating pipelines in the AWS cloud

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related fields • Strong experience in Data Science with projects applied to business problems • Advanced Python (NumPy, Pandas; plus: Polars) and SQL • Knowledge of statistics/probability applied to forecasting and service level analysis • Experience with PySpark and large‑scale data pipelines • Experience with AWS (Glue, S3) • Desired: experience optimizing Python performance (Numba JIT) and allocation/optimization algorithms • Desired: experience with multi‑echelon inventory simulation • Desired: familiarity with Streamlit/Plotly, Terraform, and CI/CD • Desired: experience with AWS Step Functions • Desired: experience leading projects technically or mentoring other data scientists
