Sifflet is a SaaS data observability platform that acts as a control plane for data and AI. It provides a data catalog, data quality monitoring, end-to-end data lineage, built-in security, and plug-and-play integrations across modern data stacks (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, BI tools and orchestrators). Sifflet uses AI (including AI agents) to detect anomalies, reduce alert noise, surface root causes, and guide remediation so teams can prevent bad data from reaching the business. The product targets data leaders, data engineers, and governance teams at organizations adopting cloud data warehouses, data meshes, and AI initiatives.

📋 Description

• Establish and scale Sifflet’s legal department as the company grows across Europe and the US • Advise the CEO, board, and leadership team • Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnerships • Structure scalable processes for high-volume enterprise deals • Support corporate governance, shareholder relations, and equity/ESOP administration • Partner with leadership on financing rounds and corporate structuring for the France headquarters and US subsidiary • Ensure compliance with GDPR, EU data/AI regulations, and ISO and SOC2 security standards • Monitor emerging AI legislation in France, the EU, and beyond • Provide guidance on French labor law and international employment frameworks • Support hiring and subsidiary setup in new markets • Apply a French-law perspective while supporting US expansion

🎯 Requirements

• French bar–certified lawyer • At least 8+ years of experience • Ideally, a mix of law firm and in-house experience at a high-growth SaaS/tech company • Deep expertise in French commercial law • Strong understanding of contract negotiation for enterprise SaaS • Experience with corporate governance, fundraising, and data protection (GDPR) • Familiarity with US law and international expansion is a strong bonus • Business-oriented and pragmatic, balancing risk with growth • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate legal concepts into clear guidance for business stakeholders • Entrepreneurial mindset suited to fast-paced, scaling environments • Full professional proficiency in French and English
