📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and direction so the team ships secure, reliable, well-tested, and maintainable code • Mentor and upskill colleagues through code reviews, architectural decisions, and guidance on security, privacy, and performance • Help drive team direction and priorities, support stakeholders, and break down work effectively • Serve as a recognized technical expert for areas and components owned by the team • Model collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence • Lead end-to-end delivery from technical design and architecture through production deployment and support • Independently architect and deliver complex, scalable solutions • Champion quality and establish processes to improve it over time • Join a product engineering squad building ClickSend’s modern messaging platform

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production software • At least 3 years of recent, hands-on experience with NodeJS and TypeScript • Strong knowledge of backend ecosystems, including SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging brokers such as SQS and RabbitMQ, and common software design patterns • Proven AWS expertise across ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB/RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS/Kinesis, and related core services • Hands-on experience architecting end-to-end systems, including API design, data models, and infrastructure • Experience designing and operating scalable, resilient, high-performance microservices and event-driven architectures • Deep testing knowledge across unit, integration, and E2E testing • Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites integrated into CI/CD • Experience building secure services and implementing observability and maintainability best practices • Active use of AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT • Passion for mentoring engineers and communicating complex technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
