📋 Description

• Submit and manage insurance claims. • Follow up on unpaid and denied claims. • Verify claim status and resolve billing issues. • Contact insurance companies regarding authorizations and claim inquiries. • Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and outstanding balances. • Ensure accurate medical coding and documentation. • Maintain billing records and update the EMR as needed. • Assist with revenue recovery and accounts receivable follow-up.

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience as a Medical Billing & Coding Specialist. • Hands-on experience with Therabill (required). • Experience with WebPT EMR (preferred). • Strong understanding of insurance claims, denials, and reimbursement processes. • Experience supporting a physical therapy or occupational therapy practice is highly preferred. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage follow-ups efficiently.
