📋 Description

• Build tools and services for doctors and professionals • Develop solutions for the Health & Professional domain • Design and build new frontend features and incrementally improve existing applications • Work on Node.js applications and browser-based UI components • Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams and multiple teams across the business • Contribute to frontend practices and technology that improve user experience • Participate in team standups, Slack channels, retrospectives, and post-incident reviews when applicable • Participate in code reviews and review pull requests from other teams • Collaborate with User Researchers to understand product users • Contribute to technology discussions, solution design, frontend architecture, and the open-source frontend playbook • Identify codebase problems and propose solutions aligned with preferred ways of working • Work closely with Product early in the product cycle to build robust products • Advise junior developers and provide technical advice and constructive criticism • Identify codebase improvements to mitigate future problems

🎯 Requirements

• Frontend development background with knowledge of a wide range of methodologies and technologies • Comfortable working at scale on complex, long-lived systems • Ability to prioritise robustness and maintainability over the latest technology • Experience providing incremental improvements to existing applications and designing and building new features • Experience working within Node.js applications and in the browser via UI components • Familiarity with Node.js and Express is a plus, not a requirement • Experience with design systems is a plus • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple teams • Experience working with people from different backgrounds and seniority levels • Ability to discuss and influence technology choices using good frontend practices • Good command of English • Knowledge of progressive enhancement and accessibility • Understanding of frontend architecture and preferred ways of working • Ability to work with Product, User Researchers, Frontend Enablement, and other disciplines • Mid to Senior level experience appropriate to the role
