📋 Description

• Develop detailed 2D fabrication drawings for structural steel projects using Auto-desk Advance Steel • Interpret and decipher engineering and architectural drawings to produce accurate documentation • Prepare and issue shop drawings and related documentation for fabrication and construction use • Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders via email and phone • Use Microsoft Office applications for documentation and project communication • Work within project timelines to deliver accurate, high-quality drawings • Contribute to improvements in design and drafting processes • Support coordination with fabricators and builders to ensure constructability • Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; technical or vocational training in drafting is also considered • 3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication drawing or detailing, or related experience • Strong proficiency in Auto-desk Advance Steel • Proficiency in AutoCAD • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes • General computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide precise information to a diverse range of clients • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on precision work • Trade background (boilermaker, fabricator, metalwork) is highly regarded • 3D modelling experience is a nice to have
