📋 Description

• Provide in-person O&M assessments and direct services per IEP requirements • Communicate with parents, teachers, and students to develop consistent service schedules • Develop IEP goals relevant to the educational setting • Teach travel skills including sensory efficiency, cane techniques, orientation strategies, and environmental awareness • Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology recommendations to school staff • Maintain compliance with state, and school regulations • Maintain accurate documentation including service logs and progress reports • Collect data to track progress toward IEP goals • Provide training and guidance to families and staff • Participate in IEP meetings and school team activities • Maintain a professional work environment and dependable schedule.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist • Valid state certification in Orientation & Mobility as required by the state department of education • Ability to work independently with consistent availability during typical school hours • Experience supporting students in virtual settings • Familiarity with assistive technology used by students with visual impairments • Strong organization and communication skills • Ability to travel for face-to-face O&M services • Proficiency with basic computer systems such as MS365 • Ability to pass background checks.
