📋 Description

• Direct and lead operational activities of the Clinical Pharmacology department • Evaluate departmental workloads, resources, and technology to improve operational efficiency • Establish systems that produce quality work and support continual departmental growth • Provide consultancy expertise on study design, pharmacokinetics, and clinical pharmacology to internal departments and clients • Participate in project development and FDA meetings concerning investigational and marketed drugs • Manage departmental staff, including recruitment, promotion, termination, work allocation, coordination, and conflict resolution • Promote employee development and complete performance planning • Ensure consistent personnel practices and compliance with company and department policies • Ensure adherence to scientific, ethical, regulatory, working-practice, and SOP standards • Provide infrastructure support to the Clinical Pharmacology Department • Assist with strategic planning, departmental business plans, and budgets • Support Business Development and bid and proposal activities • Oversee performance management, coaching, mentoring, employee counseling, salary administration, hiring, corrective action, separations, time records, expense reports, leave requests, and overtime • Occasionally drive to site or client locations and travel within the United States

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience comparable to 12+ years, or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience • 5+ years of management responsibility • Strong leadership skills • Demonstrated success working in a multi-disciplinary team setting • Strong management skills, including management of multiple projects and staff members • Ability to allocate personnel resources based on project priorities and complexity • Ability to manage schedules for large pharmacokinetic and clinical pharmacology programs supporting regulatory submissions • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines related to clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetics in drug development • Excellent knowledge of the drug development process • Strong theoretical background in pharmacokinetics • Experience applying pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in drug development • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Good organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities
