Thomann. io is the technology and product development arm of Thomann GmbH, building and operating the company's international web shop and mobile app for musical instruments, audio, and event equipment. The team develops backend and frontend systems (PHP, Twig, React, React Native), infrastructure (Google Cloud/GKE and on-prem datacenter), and data warehousing, while practicing agile, remote-first product teams focused on scaling eCommerce, analyzing customer data, and improving the shopping ecosystem for creators and performers worldwide.

📋 Description

• Plan and organize UX studies together with Product Research and Product Teams • Create test scripts, interview guidelines, and surveys • Manage recruitment of test participants from the user pool • Coordinate studies, including scheduling and technical setup • Moderate and observe UX tests • Conduct customer interviews • Cluster and categorize feedback from users and stakeholders • Analyze research results and identify patterns in user behavior • Document findings in the research repository • Help create and maintain UX deliverables such as personas and customer journey maps • Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and data analysts • Help shape how research contributes to product discovery and decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Enrollment in a relevant field such as UX, Design, HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or Communication • Ideally having completed foundational courses in research methods or design • Empathy and passion for understanding customer needs • Knowledge of e-commerce and user research methods • Proven experience with research methods and analysis is a plus • Knowledge in music or audio creation is a plus • Professional fluency in German and English • English and German at least B2 level • Enrolled student
