📋 Description

• Take end-to-end ownership of the backend platform, including client-facing API schemas, servers, and database infrastructure in AWS • Integrate AI-powered solutions into core products • Build and refine agent workflows, context, and tooling for AI-assisted development across a large codebase • Contribute to architectural and design decisions, articulating trade-offs and breaking complex features into releasable components • Design and implement core products within PHP and Laravel APIs using OpenAPI specifications and domain-driven, service, and repository architectures • Build and enhance internal Python backend systems, including AWS Lambda microservices, with cross-functional business units • Support and maintain production AWS infrastructure using Terraform • Manage AWS ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Parameter Store, CloudWatch, and IAM services

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building, operating, and scaling backend systems in production environments • Deep proficiency in PHP, ideally Laravel • Working proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience developing features and building context workflows using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar • Proven experience with event-driven and queue-based architectures, particularly AWS SQS • Experience running containerized services in production, ideally Amazon ECS • Experience integrating LLMs into production software, including prompt design, evaluation strategies, and safely handling non-deterministic outputs • Familiarity with AWS Parameter Store or HashiCorp Vault • Experience with PHPStan or Rector • Proficiency with Terraform, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines • Strong knowledge of relational database design, query tuning, MySQL, Redis • Background in production incident management, monitoring, and backend secure design principles • Must be currently based in Latin America
