• Seek new prospective merchants and introducers proactively, promoting Trust Payments' products and services • Identify merchant and partner challenges and offer suitable, profitable solutions • Use industry networks in travel, hospitality, ticketing, short-term rentals, and financial services to generate qualified opportunities • Navigate regulatory requirements and position Trust Payments' solutions accordingly • Develop vertical expertise and monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitors • Qualify opportunities by profitability potential, risk profile, and strategic fit • Build business cases and ROI models for prospects • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with support from the Line Manager and Department Director • Manage customer onboarding and initial aftercare until handover to an Account Manager • Collaborate with product, project management, and marketing teams on value propositions • Update the CRM for reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management • Represent the business at trade events when required
• Minimum 3 years' B2B sales experience in payments, financial services, or fintech, with a demonstrable self-generated new-business track record • Direct sales experience with travel, hospitality, or ticketing clients, including evidence of existing relationships and market knowledge • Ability to meet or exceed revenue targets through a self-generated pipeline • Understanding of payment processing, merchant services, and acquiring in regulated environments • Commercial acumen and ability to structure profitable, competitive deals • Consultative selling ability focused on merchant pain points and solution positioning • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and negotiating terms • Proficiency with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills • Willingness to travel across EU markets and attend industry events • Spanish or Portuguese language capabilities valued/preferred • Experience with PSP, gateway, or acquiring solutions desirable • Knowledge of alternative payment methods, crypto payments, or open banking desirable • Understanding of risk management and fraud prevention in high-risk verticals desirable • Relevant industry qualifications or certifications desirable • Successful completion of a background verification check as a condition of employment
