📋 Description

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of Twilio’s carrier COGS • Act as the dedicated Accounting partner to the Carrier Operations team • Streamline information flow and accelerate data integrity between systems • Read, analyze, and document the financial and accounting implications of complex carrier agreements • Track security deposits, minimum commitments, and volume-based pricing tiers • Support month-end close through complex accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations • Ensure accurate and timely data availability and provide insight into key business drivers • Own monthly P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuation analyses for carrier cost accounts • Identify billing anomalies and investigate margins down to the route/carrier level • Explain key business drivers to leadership • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain accounting policy documentation • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors regarding carrier COGS • Identify process inefficiencies, determine root causes, and build systematic solutions using Twilio’s AI tools • Travel occasionally for project or team in-person meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or a highly quantitative field • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4/National) with a fast-growing technology, telecommunications, or CPaaS environment • Solid foundational knowledge of US GAAP, operational month-end close structures, and balance sheet reconciliations • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities • Comfort manipulating massive, complex, and sometimes non-linear billing datasets • Hands-on experience using AI and automation tools like Alteryx, UiPath, Gemini and NotebookLM • Extreme ownership, structural organization, and problem-solving ability for ambiguous operational data problems • Flawless written and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to explain complex variance drivers to non-finance operational partners • CPA, Chartered Accountant, or local equivalent (desired) • Direct experience handling carrier relations, telecom accounting, or high-volume usage-based vendor structures (desired) • Hands-on experience with major enterprise systems such as Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Zuora, or BlackLine (desired) • Experience using SQL, Python, or advanced data visualization suites to automate repetitive data reconciliations (desired)
