• Process purchasing requests from Engineering, Service, Sales, Stores and Operations • Procure hydraulic components, materials, equipment and subcontracted services • Interpret Bills of Materials, technical specifications, quantities and delivery priorities • Raise purchase orders and issue them to approved local and international suppliers • Obtain supplier confirmations, pricing, availability, lead times and delivery dates • Monitor open purchase orders through delivery and completion • Allocate purchased items and costs to projects, jobs or inventory requirements • Identify pricing discrepancies, supply risks and delays and escalate them • Coordinate project procurement involving multiple components, suppliers and delivery timeframes • Monitor long lead-time and critical items against engineering and project schedules • Support inventory replenishment, overseas stock ordering and reactive service procurement • Act as primary supplier contact across Australia, China, Europe, the United States and other markets • Follow up order confirmations, production progress, ETAs, shipment readiness and documentation • Monitor supplier performance across delivery, quality, responsiveness and cost effectiveness • Support supplier selection, onboarding and due diligence • Provide procurement and delivery updates to internal stakeholders • Coordinate domestic and international freight with suppliers and carriers • Arrange freight bookings through DHL, DHL Express and approved logistics platforms • Prepare or coordinate shipping, collection, export and carrier documentation • Track shipments through delivery and maintain freight and ETA information • Coordinate incoming deliveries with Stores personnel • Investigate shortages, damaged goods, incorrect items and delivery discrepancies • Support warranty claims, returns and non-conforming product processes • Maintain procurement information in Tradify, MYOB, spreadsheets and the master procurement tracker • Record purchase orders, item codes, supplier details, pricing, quantities, ETAs and freight information • Monitor the procurement mailbox and progress purchasing requests to completion • Maintain organised procurement documentation • Obtain competitive pricing and identify cost-saving and value-for-money opportunities • Produce reports on outstanding orders, delivery risks and supplier performance • Identify improvements to purchasing administration and supplier follow-up • Perform other role-specific duties as required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline • At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a similar role • Practical experience managing purchase orders from initial request through to delivery • Experience coordinating local and international suppliers • Experience managing supplier confirmations, ETAs, lead times and outstanding orders • Ability to interpret Bills of Materials, technical specifications and engineering documentation • Exposure to international freight, shipping administration and import processes • Experience preparing or coordinating shipping and freight documentation • Strong spreadsheet skills and experience maintaining procurement trackers • Experience using an ERP, accounting, inventory or purchasing system • High attention to detail across item codes, quantities, pricing and delivery information • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple open orders and deadlines • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Proactive approach to supplier follow-up, issue resolution and risk escalation • Ability to work independently and progressively assume ownership of routine procurement activities • Procurement experience within hydraulic equipment, engineering, manufacturing or industrial supply • Knowledge of hydraulic components, technical parts and Bills of Materials • Experience purchasing project components and subcontracted technical services • Experience supporting min/max inventory replenishment and stock optimisation • Experience using Tradify, MYOB and international freight-booking platforms • Understanding of Australian import requirements, Incoterms, customs processes and landed costs • Experience managing warranty claims, returns and non-conforming products
