📋 Description

• Act in the maintenance and operation of Linux environments • Administer Linux servers and virtualized environments • Monitor alerts, availability and infrastructure performance • Perform first- and second-level activities • Manage users, groups, permissions, services, file systems and LVM • Apply updates and patches to Linux servers • Query and analyze logs • Automate tasks using Shell Script • Create and manage scheduled tasks with cron • Create and manage virtual machines in VMware • Monitor CPU, memory, disk and network resources • Operate snapshots and cloning of virtual machines • Perform basic troubleshooting of virtualized servers • Monitor alerts and events in Zabbix • Interpret dashboards and performance graphs • Monitor availability and utilization of Linux servers • Identify and escalate incidents reported by Zabbix • Diagnose network connectivity issues • Manage volumes, file systems, disk expansion and storage environments • Analyze CPU, memory and disk usage • Identify service failures • Collect evidence for incident handling and remediation • Provide first- and second-level support on Linux systems

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of Debian- and Red Hat-based Linux distributions • Installation, configuration and basic administration of Oracle Linux servers • User, group and permissions management • Service management with systemctl • Administration of file systems and LVM • Applying updates and patches with yum and dnf • Querying and analyzing logs • Automation with Shell Script • Basic knowledge of SELinux • Creating and managing scheduled tasks with cron • Knowledge of VMware vSphere and VMware ESXi • Creation and basic management of virtual machines • Monitoring CPU, memory, disk and network • Operation of snapshots and VM cloning • Basic troubleshooting of virtualized servers • Knowledge of monitoring with Zabbix • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and NTP • Diagnosing connectivity problems • Basic concepts of SAN Storage • Knowledge of Multipath • Experience or knowledge to provide first- and second-level support on Linux systems • Differentials: Oracle Linux, RHCSA or LPIC-1 certification • Differentials: knowledge of Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Satellite, mrepo, Spacewalk or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
