📋 Description

• Maintain and develop COBOL applications for Unisys mainframe platforms • Define functional and non-functional requirements • Define technical solutions and estimate effort and timelines, ensuring delivery within the established schedule • Write code and perform unit testing • Collaborate with the team on a daily basis to assess activity progress and project risks, promoting a proactive approach to problem-solving • Contribute across disciplines to help the team achieve its goals by actively participating in discussions and providing support whenever necessary • Collaborate with other team members to promote software development and maintenance best practices, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of and experience developing applications using COBOL • Knowledge of and experience working in teams using Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field • Experience with software engineering and systems development processes, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance • Experience developing in a Unisys mainframe environment, including COMS, DMSII, SDF, and CANDE • Knowledge of automated unit and integration testing (TDD/ATDD) for COBOL routines • Knowledge of BDD methodology • Flexible, collaborative, and proactive • Empathy, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and excellent interpersonal skills • Commitment to continuous learning • Initiative, decision-making ability, leadership mindset, and emotional intelligence • 0–2 years of experience
