📋 Description

• You'll move between our core backend (a Rails monolith that powers everything) and our mobile application built with Expo/React Native, along with other smaller JavaScript-based projects. • You'll take features from idea through to delivery, which means understanding the problem, shaping the approach, building it, and making sure it actually works for users. • You'll design, build, and maintain the integrations that connect our systems cleanly and reliably. • You'll write pitches, document your decisions, share progress, flag blockers, and keep the rest of the team aligned. • You won't be on a dedicated support rotation, but you'll pitch in from time to time to support users when needed. • You'll shape the thinking and direction of what you’re building.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a track record of shipping and maintaining real products. • Strong proficiency in JavaScript is a must. You'll be working in it regularly across multiple projects. • Comfortable working in a full-stack MVC environment. • Can design clean, well-structured APIs and build reliable integrations between systems. • Ability to balance building quickly with building well, and think about how your work fits into the bigger picture. • Write clearly and communicate proactively, especially in a remote, async-first team. • Identify problems, propose solutions, and move things forward. • Ruby on Rails experience is highly advantageous, but not required. • Experience with Expo / React Native is a strong plus. • Knowledge of database design & performance, including schema design and query performance. • Familiarity with Python is helpful. • Previous experience in financial technology or with financial concepts is a bonus. • Strong opinions (and habits) around testing and code quality.
