📋 Description

• Architect and build the core backend and platform from the ground up. • Design and ship LLM agents that reason over large, messy, real-world organizational data. • Make foundational architecture, infrastructure, data, and tooling decisions. • Set the engineering quality bar for the team. • Operate with full autonomy and own problems end to end in a small, high-leverage team. • Build robust production systems, APIs, and Python-based backend services.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience at Staff / Senior Staff / Principal level. • Experience building and operating backend and platform systems at real scale. • Deep expertise in Python, distributed/platform systems, API design, and SQL data stores. • Ability to own systems end to end from design through production. • Track record of leading ambiguous, high-impact projects and setting technical direction. • Hands-on experience or strong intuition with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and RAG. • Experience operating systems at meaningful scale in a strong engineering organization. • Staff / Senior Staff / Principal-level scope, regardless of title. • Most experience from fast-moving technology environments rather than banks, financial companies, slow-moving non-tech, telecom, transportation, or government. • Technical anchoring, architectural decision-making, and unblocking others. • Strong problem-solving using a first-principles approach. • Strong agency and independence. • Genuine interest in fast-paced, high-ownership, early-stage environments. • Previous founder, founding-member, or entrepreneur experience is nice to have. • Experience with LLMs, AI agents, heterogeneous data, AI research tools, and high-quality code is nice to have. • Strong product sense, attention to detail, and communication skills are nice to have. • 3–5 years at a high-bar software engineering company is part of the screening snapshot; startup experience is ideal but not required. • No educational credential is specified.
