📋 Description

• Receive, prioritize, and process records requests under all encompassing state and federal regulations pertaining to confidentiality, specifically 42 CFR Part 2 and substance use treatment records. • Ensures patient safeguards and confidentiality are prioritized at all times when handling health information and patient records. • Serves as a clinical documentation subject matter expert and contributes to training and quality improvement activities related to HIM. • Ensure consistent compliance in regards to the application of policies and procedures. • Commitment to friendly and collaborative internal and external communication. • Accurately document all requests and responses in a timely manner. • Conduct sensitive corrections to record occurrences within regulatory guidelines. • Contribute to making Workit Health a great place to work. • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, or related field preferred. • RHIT, RHIA, or other relevant HIM certification preferred or willingness to obtain within one year of hire. • 1–2 years of experience in health information management, medical records processing, or related healthcare administrative roles preferred. • Experience working with sensitive health data, including substance use treatment records and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance, strongly preferred. • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and document management software.
