📋 Description

• Lead technical evaluation of complex parts, assemblies, and projects • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation for manufacturing risks, tolerances, materials, and process requirements • Guide selection of manufacturing processes, capabilities, and providers • Own and audit the technical tagging framework • Act as final technical reviewer for complex or high-value quotations • Identify and resolve technical gaps, risks, and ambiguities • Provide manufacturing expertise on critical deals and strategic customer projects • Lead technical meetings with clients and manufacturing providers • Present technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Coach, mentor, and develop Sourcing Engineers • Support onboarding and training • Prioritize and distribute team workload • Build and maintain a technical knowledge base • Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, sales, quality, and operations teams • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for sourcing and quotation workflows • Contribute to tools, automation, and data development for technical assessment • Track and report team metrics and act on findings

🎯 Requirements

• Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment working with complex parts or assemblies • Experience in sourcing engineering, technical procurement, or supplier engineering • Strong command of CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, casting, 3D printing, finishing, GD&T, technical drawings, materials, and quality requirements • Proven experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, and cross-functional sourcing and engineering teams • Ability to guide, motivate, and develop technical colleagues • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • English at B2 level or higher • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Adaptability and attention to detail
