📋 Description

• Prepare recurring monthly journals, including bank fees, currency transfers (USD to EUR), net salaries, tax payments, refunds, and specific VAT/tax journals • Perform comprehensive reconciliations of all bank accounts and process bank statements for various financial transactions • Execute Fixed Asset Management and general Balance Sheet reconciliations • Manage standard accruals, including interest and Corporate Income Tax accruals • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including payment files, bill credits, and bank submissions • Review VAT codes and provide final accounting approval for standalone bills • Perform AP and AR reconciliations and VAT verifications • Process payment reminders for outstanding accounts • Provide holiday coverage as the AR application back-up for approximately 5 weeks per year • Oversee daily bank statements and process general outgoing payments • Handle manual payment requests, including loans, interest, and intercompany transfers • Execute corporate payments, including advance tax, VAT, and employer payments • Own VAT processes, including data management, calculations, postings, VAT returns, and EU Sales declarations • Process letters and decisions from local Tax Authorities and handle relevant tax consulting tasks • Gather data for local statutory reporting and submit finalized statutory reports • Execute year-end closing work and prepare FINGAAP financial statements • Manage associated Year-End Tasks and general financial consulting • Perform final VAT checks and approve employee travel and expense claims • Review and process travel claims and employee pay slips • Report taxable expense claims and process non-taxable allowances • Ensure accurate and timely payroll and expense data transfers to the core accounting system

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 Years General Accounting experience • ACA or ACCA Qualified • Experience building globally-distributed systems • Strong understanding of Accounting best practices • Expertise in VAT & Tax • Comfortable learning and working with new technologies in an ever-changing environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong time management skills and a self-driven work ethic
