📋 Description

• Own the strategy, roadmap, budget and vendor landscape for internal IT, including support, business applications, integrations, automation and internal AI tooling. • Lead, grow and develop the IT Support and IT Tooling & Automation teams. • Run IT as a product for employees by measuring service experience, publishing delivery and prioritising by business leverage. • Administer, integrate and rationalise business-critical SaaS systems across CRM, marketing, finance, billing, HR, support, collaboration and engineering. • Design API-driven workflows and data synchronisation across platforms. • Own vendor selection, consolidation, licensing and renewals. • Champion code-first automation using scripts, internal services, event-driven pipelines, CLI tools and ChatOps. • Build and evolve automated onboarding, offboarding, identity and access provisioning, and employee self-service. • Set the technical bar for the IT Tooling & Automation pod, review designs and contribute hands-on. • Own the internal AI tool portfolio, including evaluation, procurement, administration, usage and cost governance, and lifecycle management. • Ship AI-powered support assistants, knowledge retrieval, automated ticket triage and agentic operational workflows. • Partner with AI Enablement and AI champions to drive adoption. • Define AI usage guardrails with Security and Legal. • Measure AI adoption, usage, cost and productivity returns. • Deliver person-first IT support to a global remote workforce with root-cause analysis. • Own SSO/SAML/SCIM provisioning, identity lifecycle automation, MDM, password management and access audits under Zero Trust principles. • Partner with Information Security on ISO 27001 compliance and audit readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in IT engineering, business systems engineering or internal platform engineering at SaaS/tech companies. • 3+ years leading a team responsible for internal business systems and automation. • Hands-on engineering background with the ability to read, review and write automation code in Python or a comparable language. • Fluency with APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows and integration frameworks. • Proven ownership of modern SaaS business application landscapes, including Salesforce or HubSpot, billing/finance systems, HR platforms, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, GitHub and Notion. • Experience with cross-system integration and data synchronisation at company scale. • Demonstrated delivery and governance of AI tooling, including LLM assistants, knowledge retrieval, AI-assisted support or agentic workflow automation. • Deep identity and security experience with SSO/SAML/SCIM, identity lifecycle automation, MDM and Zero Trust access models. • Experience supporting or passing ISO 27001, SOC2 or GDPR security and compliance audits. • Vendor and budget management experience across a substantial SaaS portfolio. • Experience serving a remote-first, globally distributed workforce. • Excellent communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences through executive level. • Nice-to-haves include agentic platforms and protocols, Claude/Gemini Enterprise/OpenAI/Copilot ecosystems, LLM APIs, FinOps-style AI and cloud spend governance, SRE-style SLIs/SLOs and post-growth or M&A tool consolidation.
