📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting financial systems and integrations • Develop Java 18-21 solutions within microservices architectures • Build and maintain REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs, including Spring Boot-based services • Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Redis databases • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications in AWS environments • Maintain and improve existing systems, including legacy codebases • Contribute to scalable, maintainable, and reliable system architectures • Participate in technical design discussions and evaluate technical trade-offs • Ensure performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency best practices • Conduct code reviews, testing, documentation, and engineering standards improvement • Implement unit, integration, and regression testing strategies • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and debugging • Resolve bottlenecks and performance issues; improve monitoring and observability • Collaborate with Product, DBA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and other stakeholders • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and assess feasibility and risks • Mentor engineers, support onboarding, and share technical knowledge • Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly across coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve system maintainability • Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering practices

🎯 Requirements

• Strong backend development skills using Java (version 18-21) • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience • 6+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer • Experience developing and delivering backend systems in production environments • Experience designing and contributing to complex software systems and architectures • Experience working with REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs • Experience with SQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle • Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Redis • Experience with Kafka • Experience developing cloud-based applications in AWS • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments • Experience supporting and maintaining production systems • United States work authorization/eligibility verification required upon hire
