• Develop and support implementation of short-, medium-, and long-term strategies to grow 350.org’s US work • Research and develop national campaign opportunities aligned with global campaign objectives • Partner with institutional and individual giving teams to articulate program strategies, priorities, and funding needs • Contribute to global fundraising plans by identifying investment priorities, funding gaps, and donor-aligned opportunities • Assess funding opportunities for strategic alignment, delivery capacity, risks, and resource requirements • Contribute program input to fundraising proposals, concept notes, donor presentations, reports, and external materials • Translate program strategies, activities, outcomes, budgets, and evidence into compelling donor narratives • Grow the US supporter base and achieve individual giving goals with global digital engagement and fundraising teams • Monitor work using key performance indicators • Coordinate donor-funded commitments, program records, evidence of results, and financial information for reporting • Provide strategic guidance for media and social media engagement, messaging, crisis response, and rapid response • Serve as spokesperson for interviews, press releases, videos, and events • Advise team members working on 350 US communications and digital work • Represent the US program in donor and partner conversations • Cultivate and steward institutional and individual donors • Build relationships with philanthropic, movement, and civil society stakeholders • Develop and manage US and project budgets, delegating spending authority as needed • Shape global strategy and campaigns using analysis of national realities • Represent the US in internal structures and collaborate with country counterparts and global teams • Contribute to cross-country and international initiatives and campaigns • Ensure effective relationships between country, global, and other organizational teams • Manage and supervise assigned staff and consultants • Facilitate US planning, systems, day-to-day coordination, and collaboration • Set, track, and evaluate team and campaign goals • Build team alignment and positive team culture grounded in JEDI principles • Represent 350.org as its senior local spokesperson in media, social channels, donor engagements, and external events • Maintain knowledge of 350.org’s campaigns, climate science and policy, and relevant US and regional trends
• At least six (6) years of experience in political organizing and campaigning • At least three (3) years of experience in people management and teamwork in diverse and multi-racial organizations, including line management, communications, and digital campaigns staff • Track record as an effective spokesperson in public-facing events and media interviews • Track record in designing and implementing (digital) communication strategies • Strong understanding of climate justice, strategy and social movements in the US • Demonstrated application of and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), anti-racism or anti-oppression work • Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, class, age, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds • Strong ability to think strategically and translate overarching strategies into department goals • Experience contributing to institutional fundraising, donor engagement, proposal development, grant reporting, and stewardship of restricted funding • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced remote environment • Experience with G-Suite • Legal authorization to work for any employer in the applicant’s country of residence • Desired but not required: experience with digital content production, digital fundraising, remote international organizations, and unionized staff in the US
