📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the DevOps platform, including CI/CD, AWS EKS, artifact and vulnerability scanning, test management, observability, and performance testing • Develop and maintain a multi-year technical roadmap and recommend modernization, consolidation, capacity changes, total-cost-of-ownership, and migration impacts • Research, evaluate, and prototype alternative tools and practices, including AI-enabled tooling under customer AI governance • Present and defend architectural recommendations to customer stakeholders, development teams, and other contractors • Lead the technical transition of DevOps platform operations from a prior provider, including knowledge capture, configuration baselining, parallel-run validation, and readiness criteria • Ensure operational continuity through capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning, and cost controls aligned with customer FinOps guidelines • Set technical standards for CI/CD pipeline design on Jenkins/CloudBees CI and Kubernetes • Define repository, retention, access, vulnerability, and code-quality gate standards • Direct test management integration, observability, and performance testing design • Review and approve significant platform changes, upgrades, gate-rule changes, and migrations • Lead complex troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis • Maintain platform-level DevSecOps controls, security authorization support, continuous monitoring, POA&M tracking, and vulnerability remediation • Maintain security-responsibility boundaries and coordinate remediation of findings • Define service level indicators, objectives, and delivery metrics such as DORA measures, and report trends to customer leadership • Provide technical direction, design and code review, mentoring, architectural documentation, runbooks, and configuration records • Collaborate with the CI/CD Team Lead/Technical Delivery Manager, tools administrators, service desk leadership, Program Manager, customer stakeholders, development teams, and other contractors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 10+ years of information technology experience • 7+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience • 3+ years in a lead or architect role • Demonstrated experience architecting and operating enterprise CI/CD platforms at scale, such as Jenkins/CloudBees CI, on Kubernetes/EKS • Experience designing AWS-based architectures and managing them with Infrastructure as Code • Experience with artifact repository, vulnerability scanning, code quality, and observability platforms • Working experience with DevSecOps, secrets management, and security compliance frameworks such as FISMA/NIST RMF, including security authorization support • Experience leading or supporting a platform transition or migration with minimal disruption to users • Proven ability to present and defend technical decisions to executive and technical audiences and provide technical leadership to a team • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional development teams and other contractors • Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigation/clearance per customer requirements • Preferred: experience supporting federal, healthcare, or other regulated environments • Preferred: relevant industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CloudBees, or CISSP • Preferred: experience with Agile and SAFe delivery models and AI governance for technology tooling
