📋 Description

• Develop and provide training to Actuarial Analysts • Manage Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts • Provide instructions and guidance on various projects • Initiate analysis to address business issues • Ensure schedules and deadlines are met for project completion • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external clients • Lead monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews • Communicate reserve results and analysis to senior leaders • Drive innovation and process improvement across the team • Provide effective challenge to leadership • Review Analysts' work and oversee successful project completion • Manage team time and workload and recommend tradeoffs to leadership • Discuss proactively with key business partners to achieve objectives with constrained human capital • Perform human resources functions including recruiting, interviewing, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, promotions, terminations, disciplinary procedures, recognition, coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance • Translate enterprise strategy and priorities for team members • Support company culture through employee resource groups, mentoring, volunteering, and cross-functional projects

🎯 Requirements

• BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 6 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance • Or graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance • 1+ years of leadership experience • 3+ years of Reserving experience • ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) • Solid understanding of the market landscape • Strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills • Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff • 3+ years of Commercial Lines Reserving experience • 3+ years experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity • 6+ years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on Commercial Lines insurance • Or graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4+ years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on Commercial Lines insurance • FCAS is listed as an additional qualification • Expert-level problem solving and critical thinking skills • Proven oral and written communication skills, including ability to give formal presentations • Proven team leadership ability • In-depth actuarial industry and insurance marketplace knowledge • Ability to prioritize work, organize time, and balance multiple projects • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US • Mobilitas does not provide visa sponsorship • Must travel as needed for enterprise, divisional, team, and other in-person meetings
