📋 Description

• Direct and supervise subordinate managers and staff in administrative and professional selling responsibilities • Recruit, select, hire, retain, coach, develop, mentor, instruct, critique, and evaluate a diverse, highly qualified staff • Maintain accountability for subordinate performance and managed subcontractor work output • Maintain a safe working environment and strong customer focus • Plan and manage sales efforts within assigned areas • Analyze sales records, trends, objectives, competitive activities, and market potential • Prepare annual area sales forecasts and sales expense estimates • Develop and implement market penetration strategies and plans with the Divisional Vice President, Commercial - Heart Failure • Develop and recommend sales policies for assigned areas • Maintain contact with major accounts • Resolve problems and identify causes to prevent recurrence • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, and changing priorities • Contribute to Division and Corporate policy development • Direct, manage, and supervise Regional Sales Directors, Sales Representatives, and Clinical Education Specialists • Lead long-term and organizational planning • Remain accountable for commitments and performance on assigned efforts • Anticipate and resolve high-level issues affecting operational success • Define and negotiate scope and responsibility for the assigned Sales Area

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent, or equivalent plus typically sixteen years of progressively more responsible medical device or related sales experience • Minimum six years of demonstrated supervisory/managerial experience is typical • Seasoned judgment from organizational experience and achievements in medical sales • Ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices • Ability to work with and direct others effectively • Ability to prepare and present effective written and verbal communications • Thorough familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures • Ability to prioritize development projects using customer input • Documented record of delivering strategic marketing information that adds value to management decision-making • Expert verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and frequently used personal computer programs and applications • Considerable business travel, up to 50%; posting also lists travel as 75% of the time • Professional training/education certification or designation and comprehensive understanding of Heart Failure Technology desired
