• Serve as the key point of contact for clinical issues for assigned territory customers • Train and educate customers on Abbott products using approved educational materials and IFUs • Provide Heartline and Travel Call support • Attend implants to provide clinical support • Plan and execute strategies to improve clinical outcomes and business objectives within the territory • Manage territory clinical and process-related issues, including monthly reports, Concur expense reporting, SFA input, and PEC reporting • Communicate and collaborate with territory, clinical, training and education, marketing, technical support, and management teams • Communicate regularly with the Clinical Manager • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Advamed guidelines • Continue education on clinical issues impacting MCS • Evaluate customer clinical and educational needs • Design, develop, and implement quality educational programs • Track industry trends and alert marketing to new product direction • Provide input into strategic and tactical planning • Provide technical and clinical support to customers and the sales team • Coordinate and assist with training centers in the assigned geographical region • Maintain customer contact to assess clinical and educational needs • Evaluate customer needs and recommend product modifications • Create, maintain, and update educational materials • Assist in promoting Abbott products to prospective clients with the sales team • Evaluate product viability and planned improvements and modifications • Complete clinical reports and management-requested documentation in a timely manner • Protect company equipment and confidential information • Provide support at tradeshows as requested
• Undergraduate Degree in Nursing or some other medical discipline • 3-5 years heart failure experience or equivalent preferred • Background in Nursing, Circulatory Support or Cardiology • Nursing (ICU or CCU), clinical publications, and group presentations desirable • Computer literacy • MCS (mechanical circulatory support) experience highly desirable • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Ability to remain composed under stress and be well organized • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
