📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts • Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations • Handle objections, concerns, and misunderstandings and gain calls to action to close sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans optimizing coverage and frequency for key customers • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales practices • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Travel approximately 20% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience • At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry • High school diploma/GED required when using industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • Proactive identification of customer style and behavior and ability to adapt selling approach • Innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory and attend overnight training events and sales meetings
