📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections and secure calls to action on sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency of key customers • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales expertise • Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required • At least five years of experience, including three or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry, may substitute for a bachelor’s degree • High school diploma/GED required • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer styles and behaviors • Ability to develop sales strategies and innovative solutions • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Leadership and peer-coaching experience, including success in roles of increased responsibility • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing • English proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment
