• Report directly to the Regional Business Leader • Promote Acadia’s FDA-approved treatment for Rett syndrome in adults and pediatric patients ages two and older • Own and execute territory strategy and business plans • Build trusted relationships with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary care teams • Provide expert insights and tools to help providers start patients on appropriate therapies • Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area and Acadia products, including safety and efficacy • Deliver MLR-approved educational messages and disease-state information to target HCPs • Achieve call activity, adherence, and financial objectives for the assigned territory • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and relevant stakeholders • Address customer concerns and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues • Analyze sales potential and optimize outreach within budget and compliance guidelines • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patients and providers • Participate in patient advocacy events, conferences, training sessions, and weekend events • Stay informed about market trends, products, and the therapeutic area • Guide customers on product pricing and access • Pursue personal and professional development and leadership opportunities • Represent Acadia’s mission, values, and culture
• Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for life sciences • At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience for Area Business Manager, including at least 1 year in specialty sales, with emphasis in rare diseases • Preferred experience in specialty sales including rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology • Familiarity with specialty distribution and access • Advanced selling and dialogue skills • Ability to build lasting relationships with KOLs, Centers Of Excellence, and multidisciplinary care teams • Ability to work cross-functionally to create and execute actionable business plans ensuring patient access to therapy • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Must live within the territory • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and air travel • Must be in good standing with the FDA and OIG • Ability to drive a company-provided car and remain eligible for it • Ability to travel independently by airplane • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time and work after hours as required • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
