📋 Description

• Lead implementations of Accela’s ePermitHub Digital Plan Room for government agencies using the Accela Civic Platform • Manage implementations from discovery and solution design through configuration, scripting, testing, training, and go-live • Lead discovery with agency stakeholders to understand plan review processes, pain points, and goals • Analyze existing Civic Platform configurations and translate them into Digital Plan Room solution designs • Produce solution design documents, configuration specifications, and business-rules documentation • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to architect plan review solutions and communicate customer needs • Own Civic Platform configuration and custom JavaScript (EMSE) scripting across development, test, and production environments • Design and run testing and user acceptance; deliver administrator and end-user training; lead go-live and handoff to support • Own multiple concurrent implementations with project managers • Serve as senior technical escalation for production issues, including log review, root-cause isolation, and resolution • Develop automation, templates, tooling improvements, and reusable implementation patterns • Champion Jira, Confluence, and GitHub use across the delivery lifecycle • Support sales and scoping through discovery calls, technical demos, effort estimation, and statement-of-work input • Mentor and guide junior consultants and review configuration and code • Travel up to 50% to client sites and industry events

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience • 5+ years configuring Accela Civic Platform with demonstrated successful implementations • Accela EMSE scripting experience and ability to read and write production-quality event scripts • Strong JavaScript skills and comfort with server-side scripting environments • Understanding of SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, and application servers • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP-based integration troubleshooting • Enterprise application integration experience • SQL proficiency with SQL Server and familiarity with the Accela data model • Strong database concepts • Ability to lead customer-facing sessions and explain technical issues to non-technical audiences • Experience working directly with municipal or county government organizations to gather requirements, translate them into solution designs, and implement them within Civic Platform • Experience participating in the full implementation lifecycle from discovery through go-live and post-go-live support • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence as delivery tools • Track record of improving team processes through tooling, automation, templates, and process improvements • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent customer service and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments • Strong written documentation habits • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within large, multifunctional teams and with engineering and product management
