📋 Description

• Manage an assigned team while serving as a strong individual contributor • Provide outsourced controllership, advisory services, and strategic direction to clients • Lead and mentor accounting teams for assigned clients • Coach staff, deliver timely feedback, and conduct reviews • Understand each client's unique business and accounting needs • Provide strategic leadership for scalable accounting operations • Ensure internal control systems, policies, and procedures are consistently followed • Manage month-end closing and issue monthly financial reports to clients • Partner with client leadership on operational and strategic decisions • Address accounting requests and questions with appropriate action steps, scope, prioritization, and delegation • Develop annual client budgets and maintain cash forecasting tools • Monitor budget performance and provide insights for budget adjustments • Develop and review financial and operating metrics and KPI dashboards • Identify budget variances and report significant variances to clients • Analyze financial and operational data and provide meaningful recommendations • Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making • Conduct regular client conference calls to review strategy, needs, and operational changes • Gather tax-related information for external tax return preparation • Coordinate information provision for external annual audits or reviews • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements • Review and approve monthly and quarterly tax filings • Complete special projects requested by clients • Report to an Assistant Director

🎯 Requirements

• Outsourced accounting experience with transferable knowledge in accounting and financial analysis for businesses in the $5M to $25M market • 10 years supervisory experience • Adaptive leadership style with a passion for mentoring staff • Proven expertise in actively managing accounting functions for small to medium-sized enterprises • Comfortable with change and able to pivot when priorities change • Technical and analytical focus; able to handle complex issues and find creative solutions • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask daily, weekly, and monthly priorities • Strong experience with NetSuite and other accounting software packages • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel • High degree of computer literacy • Ability to travel when necessary • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance • CPA license, CMA, or MBA preferred • Must submit a resume and cover letter explaining fit for the position • Must include salary requirements in the cover letter
