📋 Description

• Support applicants/subrecipients through the FEMA Public Assistance grant lifecycle, from damage identification through project obligation and closeout readiness • Conduct or support site inspections, damage assessments, and scoping of disaster-related work across Categories A–G • Develop and write Project Worksheets in Grants Portal or successor systems, including damage descriptions, scopes of work, cost estimates, and versions • Gather, organize, and upload supporting documentation, including force-account labor/equipment, contracts, invoices, photos, insurance, and procurement files • Apply Stafford Act, PAPPG, and 2 CFR 200 standards to eligibility, cost reasonableness, and procurement questions • Respond to FEMA and state requests for information and help applicants correct documentation gaps • Track project status, deadlines, and outstanding items; update applicants and internal leadership on progress and risks • Assist with insurance/duplication of benefits reviews and identify potential 406 mitigation opportunities • Coordinate with applicants, TEMA/state staff, FEMA Program Delivery staff, and internal specialists • Deploy to client sites and perform work in office, home, field, EOC, hospital, debris-site, or local-government-building environments • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience • Demonstrated practical knowledge of Categories A, B, and E • Experience in at least 2 major disaster recovery efforts • Experience writing Project Worksheets (PWs) • Experience using database software for project eligibility, scopes of work, and cost estimates • Experience working in and supporting an Emergency Operations Center • Experience with Grants Portal, EMMIE, or state-specific grants systems • Strong proficiency in MS Excel • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or another relevant field preferred • Experience conducting preliminary damage assessments in the field with Federal, State, and local officials preferred • Financial compliance experience preferred • Must be at least 18 years old • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa • Must pass company and applicable client background and reference checks upon offer • Willingness to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required • Ability to manipulate up to 25 lbs. repetitively • Mobility required on-site with clients
